Removals

Tree Removal is almost always a last resort. Preservation is preferred, and often required by city ordinances or other considerations. When removal is required (emergency or other), Terry's is experienced, competent, and equipped to complete safe and controlled removals, in addition to having an International Society of Arborist on staff to discuss options and make recommendations including replacement tree species, which Terry's Tree Service can also plant for you.

Tree Trimming

Professional trimming, thinning, pruning of large plants, shrubs, trees large and small is the best way to help maintain the health and beauty of these landscaping investments. Trimming, or pruning, reduces weight as well as removes dead wood providing an overall lighter, safer tree especially during foul weather - possibly avoiding emergency tree removal or other such service. Stump Removal

Most often, and advisably, tree stumps are ground away directly after the trunk has been cut close to the ground during a tree removal using a Stump Grinder, a machine designed specifically for this purpose. By grinding the stump 12 to 18-24 inches below ground, regrowth and the stump becoming host to invasive pest potential is substantially reduced. Depending on the size of the stump and the terrain and confines, various size and types Stump Grinders are available. As these machines are quite aggressive Terrys' operators and crew take extreme care to secure the vicinity, it's people, plants, and property with tarps, backstops, or object removal when possible. Chips from this process are mixed with the soil and smoothed over. Cases when a Stump Grinder is not suited, other methods including manual stump extraction may be employed, but this is not usually the case.

Older stumps so too may be removed, and should, as they may become host to destructive pests such as termites that may invade nearby dwellings and structures.

Tree Planting

Terry's Tree Service is one of few tree services that offer tree planting services, and have an International Society of Arborist that can make the right recommendations as to the best species of trees, location(s) for planting, care and up-keep throughout growth stages. Working closely with local nurseries, Terry's can specify single to multiple trees, order, collect and plant them with minimal involvement of the client.

Brush Chipping

Tree refuse chipping is standard with tree trimming / pruning, usually included in a jobs' estimate. Yard, storm, and tree and brush accumulated debris that are free of dirt and rock and not rotting may be 'mulched' with one of Terrys' Chippers, left on site or hauled away. Terry's Chippers are equipped with state of the art safety devices, always maned in pairs, and in the process of upgrade meet cleaner environmental standards.

Fire prevention and brush clearance

Many homes and structures in Terry's service area are in or near rural areas that require brush and scrub removal as well as tree trimming prior to the yearly fire season. Experience, all terrain vehicles, self propelled stump grinders, and the availability of other ground clearing equipment qualifies Terrys' fire prevention and brush clearing services to properties rural or near and within city boarders.

Mulch and Chipper refuse

Chipper refuse ranges from a very course mulch to a leafy, crunchy, mixture with large and small chips - in other words dependent on the types of work being preformed at any given time and is not very consistent. For this reason Terry's can not offer the type of bark or wood chips available from some nursery or landscape suppliers. If this is not an issue and a need of the variety the current jobs produce, and drop site is relatively near a job site, Terrys' may be able and would like to accommodate you.
